  • If you add cinnamon to your vacuum cleaner filter you will also make the house smell nice as you go!

 

  • Having an issue with ants? Use Baby powder wherever you see them. Sprinkle it around, as these pests hate scented talcum and try to stay away from it.  

 

  • Kill weeds fast with a jug of boiling water mixed with a few tablespoons of salt. This is a great way to eradicate pesky weeds from between the pavers, without wrecking your back or your fingernails!

  • Clean your BBQ in time for Summer! Heat up the BBQ then turn off. Scrunch a ball of foil, dip it in water, sprinkle baking soda on the ball & scrub in the direction of the grill. Heat up the BBQ again then oil the grill, cook and enjoy!

 

 

  • Need to clean your microwave? Easy! Half fill a bowl with water and add ½ cup of lemon juice (vinegar works too, but it doesn't smell as nice), heat for 5 minutes and leave to stand with the door closed for another 2 minutes and wipe over. Hey presto, clean microwave without scrubbing!

 

 

  • A chemical free dishwasher cleaner! Place a dishwasher safe cup filled with white vinegar on the top shelf of the dishwasher and run it through a cycle with the hottest water setting. Then sprinkle a cup of baking soda on the bottom of the machine and run it through a short cycle. The vinegar helps lift the grime and the baking soda cleans it away leaving it fresh and sparkling!

 

 

  • Need to clean those hard to reach window tracks? Sprinkle baking soda, (be sure to get into those corners!) then pour a little white vinegar over and leave for 10 minutes… wipe up with paper towel and use an old toothbrush to reach those corners, and done!

 

 

  • For a great grout cleaner mix 7 cups of water, ½ cup baking soda, 1/3 cup lemon juice and ¼ cup of white vinegar, add to a spray bottle & spray tile grout & leave it sit for a few minutes before mopping.

 

 

  • Vinegar is a great natural cleaner, but never ever use it on natural stone as it will cause pitting which cannot be repaired!

  • Scratches on your timber furniture? Try this magic remover! Mix ¾ cup olive oil and ¼ cup white vinegar and rub this solution into the timber and watch it come back like new!

  • Olive oil will remove sticker glue from most surfaces. Soak a cloth in oil, let sit on the surface for 5-10 minutes and wipe off
